It can also be conducted in your own home or a friend’s house that features interesting outdoor elements, like a pool or animals. This style typically uses natural lighting, which is my preference, and imperfect settings that often enhance the overall aesthetic.
Wardrobe Suggestions
I always tell my clients, “You can’t bring too much,” which is why I advise them to bring a variety of items they like. Go through your closet and drawers and select things that stand out to you. I’m creative and make fantastic portraits from almost anything—like a scarf, a hat, or even an unusual outfit you’ve never worn.

Helpful Tips for Satisfactory Results
- Do not straighten your hair before your session.
- Do not get a haircut or color treatment right before your session.
- Do not get a tan or spray tan unless it’s part of your routine.
- Shave appropriately.
- Arrive with dry hair.
- Get a nice manicure or use press-on nails if permanent nails are not practical.
- You may come in with no makeup and undone hair, or simply as you look every day.
