Many of my clients have insecurities, whether it’s scars, cellulite, stretch marks, or simply a lack of confidence in front of the camera. I have worked with people of all shapes and sizes, including those with amputated limbs, mastectomies, or full-body scarring from burns. No matter your story, I promise that when you walk out of my studio, you will feel radiant, sexy, and empowered.

I work alongside the best hair and makeup artists. We are down to earth, and good at helping you feel relaxed and right at home. Also, you can be as conservative or as crazy as you want. No judgment. YOU set the tone for your session; we just help you along. Let’s connect and create images that inspire confidence, but are also flattering, artistic and authentic. I promise you’ll have a great time as well!

Why Choose Me

I will use my decades of experience and photography skills to give you the best photography of your life, and the best experience possible. I will use my imagination, vast selection of props, professional lighting techniques, direction in posing, and I’ll trick you into the right expressions to make that happen. Before your session, we can discuss your ideas, wardrobe, and the reason you decided to do a boudoir session. Can’t wait to connect and have fun!

What Makes My Approach Unique:

Expert Posing
With decades of experience posing people of all body types, I know how to direct you into the most flattering poses. Downplaying what you don’t like, accentuating what’s positive.

Expression Coaching
Your boudoir portraits are a form of communication, and your expression must match the feeling you want to project. No matter how good the pose, props, or lighting, if you don’t like your expression, you won’t like the photo. I will coach you into authentic expressions to match the mood of your portraits. It’s my secret magic talent.

Professional Lighting
Flattering lighting makes all the difference when enhancing a person’s body. Lighting also sets the mood for the theme we are working with. Dark and moody? Fun? Sultry? All these concepts need the right lighting to be a truly artistic image. As an experienced professional boudoir photographer, great lighting is one of my favorite tools to achieve this.

Styles of Boudoir Photography

It’s great to have so many types of boudoir photography that can be included in one session. Below are some of the most popular. Of course I’m always willing to try something new. So let me know any ideas you might have. My studio is equipped with tons of props, backgrounds and wardrobe to accommodate anything.

Classic/Pin-up Photography

Classic and pin up styles are slightly similar. The main difference being the hair and makeup and the vibe of the photo. Pretty much anything goes with classic, and it’s usually simple lingerie paired with magazine style poses and expressions. Pin up, on the other hand, uses 40’s and 50’s style wardrobe, hair and makeup. Often Pinup boudoir evokes sultry or playful poses and expressions with the right props to set the tone of that era.

Artistic portrait photography

Artistic/Moody

I love to create boudoir portraits when I have the flexibility to experiment with an artistic edge. This could be nudes, partial nudes, black and white, dark and moody lighting, and the freedom for out of the box creativity. However, being creative does not mean ignoring proper posing or lighting. If you know the rules well, you can choose to break them for artistic reasons.

Bridal Boudoir/Themed Portraits

Boudoir portraits for your partner are the ultimate wedding gift. Themed boudoir photography is a great way to express yourself through you or your partner’s interests. Athletic, work related, movie themes, and music are the most popular. Think about what you or your partner love to do, and you’ll be surprised at what you might come up with. I’ll figure out the rest.

Couples Boudoir

Couples’ boudoir celebrates intimacy and connection between two people. These sessions can range from romantic and tender to playful or passionately intense. I will guide you with poses that encourage interaction and genuine expressions. We can use my studio or a more natural environment. This could be your home or hotel, allowing more of a lifestyle/candid approach. Let’s talk and see what works for you.

Outdoor/Location Boudoir

Outdoor boudoir photography differs from traditional styles by allowing for a variety of settings beyond the confines of 4 walls and putting us in literally any environment —could be the outside of a funky building, lakes, forests, and deserts. It could be your own home, or a friend’s home that has unique outdoor features, like a pool or animals. It usually involves natural lighting, which I prefer, and the location doesn’t need to be perfect; in fact, it’s better if it’s not.

Wardrobe Suggestions and Other Stuff to Know

I always tell my clients “You can’t bring too much” and it’s still true. So my advice is just bring a bunch of stuff! Go thru your closet and drawers and bring stuff you like. I’m creative and can make the best portraits out of almost nothing. A scarf, a pair of heels, a hat, a piece of jewelry, a weird outfit you never wore. Imagination is my most important tool.

Here are some things I think you should bring to help get the best results. You are part of the team that helps create your own beautiful portraits.

  • A black bra and matching panties
  • Black high heels, buy or borrow if you don’t have any
  • Fake lashes in a length you love
  • Jewelry and accessories to enhance your look
  • Lingerie that provides support and structure
  • Outfits or props that represent a personal interest or profession

Helpful Hints

  • Do not straighten your hair before your session.
  • Do not get a haircut or color treatment right before your session.
  • Do not get a tan or spray tan unless it’s part of your regular routine.
  • Shave appropriately.
  • Arrive with dry hair.
  • Get a nice manicure or use press-on nails if permanent nails are not practical.
  • You may come in with no makeup and undone hair, or simply as you look every day.

Costs

Please contact me to get a detailed price list of our packages. They start at $295 and all include fully edited digital images. Hair and makeup services can be added for an additional $175 to all packages. I HIGHLY suggest taking advantage of our hair and makeup professionals. They ensure an epic outcome, discuss any concerns you may have, and give you time to get relaxed before your boudoir portrait session. The camera often alters your hair and makeup from what you see in the mirror, and they are very familiar with professional techniques to compensate.
